Established in 2018, Italian Blue Growth is responsible for the organization of regional, national and European events and initiatives aimed at fostering economic promotion and attracting domestic and foreign investments, as well as international cooperation, innovation and Blue Economy sustainability.

EVENTS

Italian Blue Growth is in charge of organizing events related to international cooperation, innovation and Blue Economy sustainability.

Innovation, research, development and maritime technologies are the core values of the event, which has become one of the most significant occurrences in the maritime industry and a model of Italian business and competitiveness.

Sailing events coordinated in collaboration with various organizations, including the National Park of the 5 Terre, CSSN, DLTM, Committee of the Sailing Circles of the Gulf, Lega Navale Italiana Sezione della Spezia and Sezione Velica della Marina Militare della Spezia.

IBG is the organizer of SEATALK 2023, an event with the core objective of fostering a comprehensive maritime culture that integrates research, innovation, and conservation. The theme chosen for this inaugural edition was -Knowing to protect- reflecting the importance of understanding the intricate workings of this invaluable ecosystem before seeking solutions.

The Awards are specifically designed for High School students of Liguria region and University students in order to recognize outstanding experimental, master or advanced thesis focused on marine technologies. The thesis should aim to develop products or processes applicable to Dual Use and with a low environmental impact.

Euronaval is a must-attend event for professionals in the naval and maritime industries. The fair centers around the traditional missions of naval defense, the activities linked to the State’s actions concerning the sea, maritime security, transport and the safeguarding of the marine environment.

IBG took part in the 17th edition of SEATEC, the event dedicated to the world boating industry, which took place from 3rd to 5th April 2019. IBG organized 3 seminars

Westmed

Since January 2019, IBG has become the Italian National Hub for WESTMED Initiative, representing the technical assistance mechanism of the European Commission. This role involves fostering sustainable Blue Economy initiatives among countries participating in the “5+5 Agreement”

The event “Giornata del Mare e cultura marina” (Sea Day and marine culture) involves the collaboration among Marina Militare Italiana, the Provincial Scholastic Office, the Port Authority of La Spezia and the Italian naval League - Sections of La Spezia and Lerici.
